To arrange a Wildlife Drawing or Pet Portrait call or email (see contact tab for details or use the links below) to discuss and secure your commission slot.
The process differs slightly depending upon your requirements:
If you would like a Wildlife Drawing of a particular animal, I have access to a variety of Royalty-free image libraries and together we can chose a suitable image to create your original drawing. Alternatively, you may have your own photograph** that you would like to have captured.
If you are wishing to commission a Pet Portrait you need to submit a selection of reference photographs** of your pet.
I work from photographs to create a portrait that captures your pet's unique personality. Photos need to be clear, in focus and showing your pet's features. It is especially important that I can see their eyes. If you are not sure if your images are suitable, I'll be happy to advise.
** If submitting a photograph for either a Wildlife Drawing or Pet Portrait that you didn't take yourself, I need to have written permission of usage from the Photographer to avoid any copyright infringement.
One we have mutually agreed on an image and completion date, a deposit is required with the balance paid upon completion.
Each portrait is created in coloured pencil, using high quality Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran D'Ache Pablos and Derwent Lightfast oil based pencils. I use Clairefontaine Pastelmat paper, board and Polydraw drafting film.
Price include a professional mount and backing board and wrapped in acetate for delivery purposes.
Delivery prices are not included.
Upon your order, everything will be set out in writing and I will communicate progress updates for your approval along the way.
